How do I get chocolate off my cat? Without a bath?

I ate a cookie with some chocolate on top of it earlier. One of the chocolate chunks fell off the cookie and onto my shirt. The heat from my laptop melted the chocolate. After awhile I moved the laptop and then my kitty Lily jumped onto me and layed right onto the chocolate. I didn't notice for awhile after she got off me and then changed the shirt. She now has chocolate on her chest/armpit area and she isn't letting me take it off.



She hates baths (I really don't feel like having a dozen claw marks on me at the moment..), and I just tried putting warm water on a towel and clean her that way and she started meowing and acting like she was dying lol. Now she is angry and wont come near me..



Any other tips? I threatened to shave her but I think it's a bit too cold for that, haha.

You might be able to lure her into a small room (like the bathroon) and then brush her w/ a wet comb. My cats HATE baths too, but they don't mind getting brushed w/ a wet comb. That happened once before to me, except that it wasn't chocolate. The silly kitty laid down in the litter box... you can probably figure out the rest lol
Reply:Chew some fish, spit it out and then rib it gently into the area contaminated by chocolate. The cat will remove both substances by licking

Reply:The small amount of chocolate probably won't do any harm to kitty. Just leave her alone. It'll all be fine.
Reply:Wipe if off with a damp cloth, chocolate is bad for animals as it is high in fat and some animals are lactose intolerant.A cat will only accept a bath if you have done it right from a kitten at about 8 weeks of age every week. She may have licked it all off by the time you get to her with a cloth, don't be surprized if she throws up afterwards though, you will know because cats sound like a pump when they are sick.
Reply:Baking soda w/ water, or vinegar. Then brush the coat. Poor kittys probably pissed. Lure her over with some food. My cat can't resist the sound of a can opening.
Reply:At first your question sounded a bit X rated. Don't cats clean themselves? How big were the chips? Won't she get it off eventually?
