Question for fish lovers?

hey we have a big pond in our back garden with Carp and gold fish, we woke up this morning and found they had pulled up our water lily (is this normal?) and we have just notice there are eggs in between the lily floating at the top of the water and all the fish are swimming around it like crazy lol anyway does anyone no how long it will take them to hatch and if there is anything we need to do for them? even though we have fish we dont no what to do in these sort of situations. can anyone help?

Question for fish lovers?
it happens every spring in my pond, it usually takes 4 days to hatch, i leave the eggs in the pond, i just leave them i dont do anything the fish fry will eat from the plants in the pond

but u can put them in a separated tank from the same pond water at the same temperature, and after they hatch and they are freely swimming add some hard boiled egg yellow or newly hatched prime shrimps.. but i think leaving them in the pond to grow up naturally is bitter , but the pond must have plenty if hiding places and plants that is the working very will for me since 5 years.. i have hundreds of fish in my bond, i started with only 10 fish !!
Reply:carps eggs

put them some where else b4 they get eaten

then replant the water lily
Reply:See if you can find any bacon and If it`s fried eggs someone has threw out their breakfast.
Reply:Sounds fishy lmao
Reply:Fish tend to lay their eggs in gravel etc so might have dislodged the lily that way.You should put large pebbles on the lily pot to stop this happening.Fish tend to eat fish eggs so you will be lucky in a small pond if they make it to maturity. You could of course collect them and keep them separate from the fish 'till they've hatched.
Reply:he doesnt sound like a very friendly fish. In fact they all sound like they need ASBOs why dont you fry them?
Reply:sounds like carp eggs - they spawn early summer..

you need to remove the eggs or they will be eaten... which is why the fish are swimming around them like crazy - they are feeding.

if any survive, the fry will be eaten anyway.

remove them to a tank. heres a basic guide -

make sure the PH of the water you put them in and the water in the pond are the same.
