What's a unique place to put a tattoo?

I really want to get a tattoo of a water lily with my dad's favorite bible verse and the date that he died as a memorial. The only thing is that I don't know where.



I don't want it on my lower back (i.e. "tramp stamp"), on my ankle (never really liked them), on my shoulder (don't want it visible on my wedding day), or anywhere visible (I plan on being a physician assistant and shouldn't have visible tattoos).



So I need a unique place to put a tattoo that's classy and not very visible. The tattoo would be very small.



And please no lectures on not getting tattoos or anything like that. I understand the permanency and I'm positive that I want to do it.

I disagree with the tattoo but at least you aren't getting a really crazy and stupid looking one. I think the best place might be on your side( of you can get it there) along your stomach. That way you have to be wearing something really in appropriate for it to show.

Reply:i have two stars on each side on my lower stomach and a heart on the inside of my thigh and a broken heart on the other thigh. i also have a kiss thingy or whatever they're called on the back of my shoulder. those are all pretty discreate places. =)
Reply:I had a class a couple years ago with a girl who had a really awesome tattoo on her back (above her bra) so you could see it when she wore a tank top. I loved the placement so much, that when I got my first tattoo that I got it in the same spot.



It'll be like your dad has your back forever, without the dreaded "tramp stamp" coorilation.



I think it's a great idea too, by the way. And it'll be easy to hide. Just put on a shirt! :)

Reply:You could get one on your butt crack, I am willing to bet that no one has a tattoo on their butt crack, and there are more discreet places -- your vagina, the inside of your thighs, they have a new sign called glow in the dark tattoos -- you can only see them in under a black light -- they can also put a tattoo on your tounge. I've only seen one or two of those

Reply:You can get a classy rib tattoo. They hurt, but its a big space and it would look nice. If not there, you can always put it on your hip or leg. Both are spots that you can cover.

Reply:The inside of the wrist looks very pretty, though it is visible. I've seen a lotus and a tree of life. I have known veterinarians with visible tats, as well as therapists, but don't know if those fields are more open than p.a. good luck.
Reply:Remember tatoos are for life. They don't wash off. When your 50 you will still have it. Be smart and not a fad follower. Don't put one on. IF you must, then get a washable one so you can remove it when you tire of being a copy cat.
Reply:Your hip. A unique place is the outer edge of your ear, I have one on each ear! But sounds like what you want wouldnt fit there, so go for your hip.

Anyway, unfortunately, there is no "unique" place to get a tat. They have been put everywhere. And I mean EVERYWHERE.

I'd advise you to just wait a little bit until you know where you'll want to put it. You're the one who's gonna live with it. Make sure it's placed exactly where YOU want it.
