A water lily growing in a circular pond doubles in size every day. It takes thirty days to cover the whole pond. How long does it take to cover half the pond?

Reply:Half the pond would be covered in 29 days, the next day it would double in size ... and that would be the final day, the 30th day.



Don't really care about the ten points. I'm really bad at riddles so I hope I got this one right. Haha. :)

Reply:you cant give ten points. and you cant cover half of a CIRCULAR pond with a water lily because the lily is circular. that is unless there is only half a lily.

LisaC123 - it doubles in size every day, on the thirtieth day it fills the pond, so the day before that it was half the size needed to cover the pond making it 29 days
