Good luck!
Reply:You could use the above mentioned method with a small exception. You can add a rope or line to the rake and throw it out and drag it back in which would make it easier for large infestations. (Pulling it behind a boat would work too.) I'd recommend using a metal rake and weighting it with something like a brick or something of a similar weight to aid in the process...

Here's a product that kills lillies...I'm not sure if it's safe for fish and it says that you aren't supposed to use it if there are livestock drinking out of the pond for 14 days after dosing...

Reply:Have you been to Tractor Supply? They have a large selection of pond remedies there. Don't know about water lillies specifically because I was looking for something else. But I was duly impressed with the assortment of pond stuff they had. Give them a try.
Reply:They make a poison for that. It is supposed to be fish friendly. Try Home Depot? www.homedepot.com
Reply:sorry if you dont have a grass carp or bream to eat the shoots they will win but talk to others at the fish or pet store before letting a new species in the pond in the mean time drag the pond with a grappel hook and then give the lilies to a farmer with a truck patch to till them in or put the mess over your compost heap and ask more pond owners around what species to place in the pond also the vegetation robs the oxygen from the pond and kills the life out of it good luck
Reply:use a rake and pull them out!!
