What is the best thing to clean the leaves on a peace lily?
A microfibre cloth will do the job or you can go to a Garden Centre and buy a houseplant leafshine spray. Both are good.
Reply:Warm water, on a soft cloth or on warm days, put them outside in the rain.
Reply:Milk is an all purpose shiner for all leaves.
Reply:Peel a banana then use the fluffy wet side of the skin to wipe down the leaf, then dip a cloth in warn water, ring out and wipe clean. This also stops dust being attracted as much.

Reply:You can buy plant wipes from a garden centre, but really a washing up sponge and warm water will do fine!
Reply:this depends on where you place your peace lily. as what others suggest to have a "leaf spray", of course there is available in Garden Center or any home center (depending on what you call it) but this is only good if you place it outside the house. If inside the house, you cannot use spray as the wet will just spread on the flooring. Kitchen towel will be OK. You can wipe it with water (if you don't want to spend money) but wipe it gently both upper leaf and the lower leaf. You may use a little of Olive oil too if you like. The leaves will look more shiny. If it's outside, you may use a sprinkler to give a shower (do it early in the morning or evening).

I have plenty of plants inside the house and have to wipe the leaves with oil and water once in a month.

*Don't forget that wiping the leaves is not only the remedy to make the leaves look healthy or shiny, but some fertilizers will do too. There is a liquid enhancer available also, you may use it every once in two months.

using oils (notice the milk above is non-fat?) is a bad deal.. the oil plugs up the pores that the plant breathes thru, and actually gives MORE dust a place to cling....



a towel and water and a gentle touch is plenty, really....
