Why are the seed pods on my Day Lilies shrivling up & dying--Its not lack of water?

Seed pods from last year? Those stems should be removed and the new leaves and flowers for this year will come up. Water them and feed them an all purpose fertilizer or one that is specifically for flowers.

Normal. The plant has done it's thing, and is going to prepare for next year.
Reply:Seed pods that are shrivling up are normal. In the pods, there are seeds that you can replant. I have a garden and i am only 12 years old. usly at the end of summer or in july my daylillies do that. But daylillys all ways come back the next year. I grew up in my grandmas garden that had a apple tree and it was really pretty. i can remember befor i started school, i would sit in the garden watching my grandma matian the garden as she told me how to . I loved that garden soooo much but her nabohers was a drug addick who also baby sat a bunch of little kids and the other nabohor was a drug dealer so my grandparents move to a new house cause it got to the point where it was really scary to go outside at her house. well i hope i help you. i am only 12 but i know alot about gardening.
