Why is our water lilies in our koi pond dying? The other water plant is fine. Is it because of winter coming?

Yes. This is normal. But it will come back next spring.

my koi pond also has water lillies in it-- it is natural for them to go dormate when it gets chilly-- dont worry-- they will sprout again next year
Reply:it is true,as the water temperature cools, the lillies kinda go dormant until spring.what other water plant do you have that is still growing?do you have your lilly in a planted pot?if you do,just leave it alone till feb or march, depending on where you live.make sure you repot and divide the roots and fertilize with a good time release fertilizer tablet made especially for water plants!
Reply:i have too huge koi ponds and it is normal for them to go dormant during winter but they will come back in early spring also make sure you fertilize them well once a month from march till sept. with fert. pellets. you go 1 pellet per size container, so if you have a 3gal container then you put 3 pellets. it could also be that the koi are eating the plant cause they do love water plants
